Who Are You Becoming?

Who Are You Becoming?

Who Are You Becoming?

“What we’re able to do always results from who we intend to be.”
– Max De Pree

I’ve long embraced that who God has made me to be determines what He intends for me to do. That’s why self-awareness is so important for us as leaders. We must know ourselves to lead ourselves.

And yet who you are is not static. You have changed. Even in the past week. Certainly, in the past year.

I laugh when I think of all the times people wrote in a high school yearbook, “Don’t ever change. Stay just the way you are.” I thank God I’ve changed. I’m not the same person I was in high school.

Lately I’ve been more aware, however, of who I am becoming. And who I intend to be.

I intend to become…

  • All that God has made me to be
  • A better listener
  • A better friend
  • Kind
  • Generous
  • Unoffendable
  • Fruitful
  • Fit

Who are you becoming? What progress are you making?

Who is God calling you to become? How intentional are you?

Let’s keep going – “until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.” (Eph 4:13)
